Cosmos is designed with privacy as a core principle. All file analysis and organization happens entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data.

Data Collection

We collect nothing. Specifically:

• No personal information — We don't ask for your name, email, or any account
• No file contents — Your files are analyzed locally and never leave your device
• No usage analytics — We don't track how you use the app
• No crash reports — We don't collect diagnostic data
• No advertising — We don't show ads or share data with advertisers

On-Device AI Processing

Cosmos uses an AI model that runs 100% on your Mac:

• The AI model is downloaded once and stored locally
• All file analysis happens on your device
• No file names, contents, or metadata are ever sent to external servers
• Your organizational choices stay private

File Access

Cosmos only accesses folders you explicitly select:

• You choose which folders to organize using macOS's standard file picker
• We use Apple's security-scoped bookmarks to remember your selection
• We cannot access any files or folders without your explicit permission
• You can revoke access at any time by selecting a different folder

Data Storage

The only data stored locally on your device:

• AI Model (~2-4 GB) — The language model for file analysis
• Your Preferences — Organization mode, custom rules
• Learning History — Your accept/reject choices to improve suggestions (stored locally only)

Third-Party Services

Cosmos does not integrate with any third-party services. We do not use:

• Analytics platforms
• Advertising networks
• Cloud storage services
• External APIs

Children's Privacy

Cosmos does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy occasionally. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above.
